Followed a Mauritius Blue 'R' reg Xantia this evening (no camera). Unbadged but a VSX I think, due to the spoiler.
Was in excellent condition and floated, so someone who knows what they are about.
I have swapped the C5 for a Rover 75
Only temporary, daughter is moving again and using my car to do it.
I found the Rover very good, very quiet, comfortable and refined, the cabin is a nice place to be. It goes very well without any fuss and has a lot of nice toys. The speed warning when I exceeded 70 was rather alarming - huge red oval on the dash somewhat reminiscent of a PSA "STOP" signal. Handy as I was behind a police car

Spotted in Walsall West midlands..
A Silver V6 Xantia 2... on the back of a scrappy wagon, it had obviously been a non-runner for some time because it was covered in green mold!
I should have followed it to see where it was headed... may have come in handy for spares..

For the ravers out there, it seems Mr. Scooter is a fan of the old Double Chevron in Traction form.

Firstly, excuse the picture quality as I only had my phone!
Spotted quite a 'few' Citroen's today although it might be cheating seeing that it was a Citroen UK sale at BCA Measham!
They had a nice line-up at the front:
Although the most interesting one was the Pink Berlingo!
As soon as I saw it I remembered a posting on the CCC Forum about some Citroen Berlingo Multispace's being used in a Series called "Candy Cabs". Obviously, it had to be one of the cars!
On first appearances the paintwork looked not very nice at all, but when it went through the auction the auctioneer stated that it had been 'wrapped' and is actually blue underneath!
A quick Google shows this - Link.
You never know what you're going to see!

Here's some more pictures of the one at the auction.BigJohnD wrote:The next road to us, the prom, was partially closed today, so I got my camera out and walked round to see what was happening.
I came across 6 Barby Pink Berlingo Taxis.
And a bit further along, they were filming a new comedy Candy Cabs for the BBC.
And no, he's not naked.

Thank goodness for that Otherwise I'd seriously have trouble keeping my dinner where it belonged if I had to drive that for any length of time..Citroening wrote: the auctioneer stated that it had been 'wrapped' and is actually blue underneath!
It's certainly shocking pink. Of that there's no doubt...

I spotted a dark blue C6 yesterday on a private plate, I doubt it had seen a wash since new!
Today I was parked beside a very nice M reg 1.8i Xantia SX in the pale gold colour, it looked in fantastic condition and still had its original 14" Citroen wheel trims which were unmarked too, probably a very low mileage car judging by its condition.
Last week I saw a N reg TD Xantia in green with a smashed screen and a tied down bonnet, obviously the catch had given up.
They are not bad cars mind and the CDT engine is a good one.
I have set my sisters C5s speed warning to 80, it drives her mad

Just come from Whickham (NOT High Whickham) golf club and despite all the posh cars there I was dismayed to see not a single C6, nor a C5.
In fact, not a single Citroen in sight Only BMWs, Volvos, Porches, Audis and the like. There was one MG TF but we'll ignore that.
These guys have NO taste.
Only to be expected I suppose.

It's just the same outside our local tanning saloon. Looks like a Merc, VW, Volvo and Beemer showroom most days.
Trouble is, said haven of dangerous UV light is situated on a corner and those aforementioned German tin drivers naturally make full use of their official dispensation from all parking regulations by parking on the double yellows and making it rather difficult for us lesser mortals when negotiating the area around Newport's premier skin cancer centre.
Based on the people I see in those German motors around these parts I'd be downright ashamed to be even seen near one, much less be driving one.
Rules have exceptions so I'm not tarring every German car owner with the same brush but sadly a large majority do seem to enjoy being very stereotypical.
