Ram Bush

Unread post by jwalshe »

Hi all

The knocking at the back of the car appears to have been diagnosed as a 'ram bush'... I'm sure you'll know what this is (being a new owner, it's a mystery to me!)

Any idea if this is an expensive fix?

Thanks in advance!

The rear ram bush is both inexpensive and easy to replace.

See this here link.

James,

If you don't happen to have a lathe in your workshop, let me know and I'll whip one up for you...

Sadly, my ability to whip up a lathe on command is a bit beyond my abilities

However, knocking up a few ram bushes is not so...

James, I'll be at the National both days this weekend and could bring a bush with me. I'll also be bringing a disassembled rear ram with me to show Chris (Citroenmad) what's involved in repairing a leaky ram.

You'll have no problem spotting me. Look for the red Activa with a private plate on it.

Steve, PM me your address and I'll drop one in the post for you. Cost will be a portrait of the Queen that has the figure '50' on it. You did ask me to choose my own portrait of the Queen so I have

This thread is a brilliant example of things being interpreted in just the opposite way to that intended

I can see I'll have to be very careful how I phrase things in future.....

Good job you put private plate instead of leather and winter pack...

Thanks Jim :-) See you there!

Just been out to take some new photos of the car (day off work so I gave the car its first decent clean and polish since purchase a few weeks back).

And of course - just another excuse to drive it. Just can't believe the experience. Tried a few roundabouts - it's almost spooky! That said, I normally drive like a nun. Especially now, as it's a bit thirsty compared to my Smart Roadster!

No problem.Will do.

I always did thinks a nice bit of metal with a design stamped in it has much more artistic value than a bit of paper run off a printer. :P
