Thanks for Le prompt reply Monsieur Toby. old luv.
Explains why my Mich - No - Win tyres only lasted 15k
( inside scrub - toe out ) currently 1.5 Degrees ! toe out . Yep degrees not minutes , no wonder it turns in rapidelement....
Merci Beaucoup you loverlie leetle tyre Ami's , I recommend you to madame L'Guillotine , mais certainlement.
Still have difficulty getting my head around that figure , every FWD car I have come across has either been zero ( neutral ) or
5 - 10 * minutes toe out .
I will give it a whirl with my spanking new boots , and keep a weather eye , aye .
My Cynical head suggests that some Tyre companies are under instruction to " tweak " the geometry in order to drum up further business ? But it's more likely uncaring incompetence .
Must chase those reds from under the bed......

Malcolm, thats basically the same as what I posted. Yours is the range rather than the middle value and a plus/minus figure.
I diasgree to an extent on your comment of tyre and exhaust places. I've found an excellent firm who specialise in just that. They have a Hunter laser alignment machine and seem to know how to use it well.
OT, they can also balance centreless Activa wheels properly as they have made up a custom adapter from two old Coupé V6 hubs (it was made originally for a Coupé but they hubs are the same as Activa ones)
If its one you know and trust then all is well.
Dippy, you understand correctly the difference between positive and negative toe.
Thanks Guys , I take notice of all points of view , all very helpful thank you.
Laser tracking is when my problems really began , on various vehicles .
Without inference to anyone at all , or their own vehicles particular vehicles , I don't run " modern " cars , or want to either.
Having a trustworthy Tyre Company / Garage is like gold dust .
back to the old Dunlop Optical guage for me , Mes Ami's
Also had a chat with a local taxi firm who have several Synergie / 806 /Dispatch all with 350K + on the clock , interesting reply from the owner :
Don't buy directional tyres .
They have their tyres reversed on the rim every 10K ( at £4 each)
I quote " We have had them tracked, Laser aligned , pos -neg - neutral , upside down , back to ftront , and inside out within reason , tried it all , all of them still scrub ! we get double mileage by reversing the tyre " . ( a few more expletives were added ) He also mentioned that Michelins were the worst in terms of scrubbing and short life .
Now covered a few K since re - tracking to FCF members advice , big improvement in "feel" and tends not to dive into corners now , constantly checking tyres for scrub / uneven wear - none detected - yet ?
I am an exponent of enthusiastic cornering though , which in a syn' can alarm other road users / passengers.
I bought two budget - ish tyres when replacing the Michelins - BIG Mistake , 2 for the price of 1 appealed at the time , the lack of grip in wet weather is bordering on criminal - slows yer down though....
Get what yer pay for ? probably. I also failed to consider that the Mich's were pretty good in the snow too for a normal tyre.
