Air con pump types

Hi all

I know there's an AC section but it doesn't look too well read so I thought I'd post here.

Are the two AC pump types interchangable? Harrison and whatever the other one is or, the one that is split down the middle and the one that isn't?

Not to my knowledge, one has individual screw on pipes while with the other the pipes are held on by a bolted down plate.

Of course you probably can swap over the pipes too, but don't quote me on that

Delphi-Harrison has the pipes bolted with a bracket to compressor.
The other make is a Sanden.

It depends on model,make and year as both were fitted depending what mood the were in

Cheers chaps, that easy to identify then? Im pretty sure the original and spare pump I have are both the type with the bracket that holds the pipes in place.

Theres two types of Harrison Pumps...

On around 1997 model years the Harrison had two seperate type screw on pipes identical to older R12 type compressors....

Then later on they changed the connection to the bracket with single bolt.. these two types are ALMOST interchangeable... These compressors are slightly LONGER then the Sanden split body compressors, but they do fit..

Im sure Ive got the names the correct way round..
