Electric windows when engine off

405 1.8 GL 1993
In haynes it says that there is a switch to allow the electric windows to be operated with out the ignition being on? I cant find this switch anywhere. Is there such a thing?!!!

The windows and sunroof should operate with one of the doors open. I think it's any but it might just be the driver's.

Tried that, but it doesn't work. Isn't there a switch/fuse that can be changed to allow this to happen?

the power through the wire stops when the ignition is turned off therefore if you route a wire from the battery into the door panel
and fix it to the live side of the switch that window will work with the ignition off
