Hey up fellas Tis a wee while since I has bin amongst yers all..
I'm the guy with the Cit Xantia 2 (with the Mk 1 front end) I'm sure you'll remember me!!)
Anyways I has bin at it again & fell onto this little "Machine"
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT
As you can see its a Lag 2 "V6 Priviledge" with on board Sat Nav & "Toys" & you can see wot I paid fer her...
Pretty "Nifty" eh ????
Anyhow few minor probs already sorted Headlamp washer not working, Tail bulb out, rear N/S door wouldn't open ... Ect ect ect..
So, on to my "Plea" fer help ... AUTO GEARBOX .... she runs Ok but is abit "Clunky" & changes down rather "Harsh" ...Had her up in the air this afto & found
A. O/S drive shft oil seal leaking
B. Gearbox Mount totally gone
C. Levelling Headlights "DUFF"
D. EML on Dash (Found out its probs the Lambda Sensor) as the nice lady that lives under the dash says "Emmissions Faulty" (Or summot like that!!)
I dropped the gearbox Oil & flushed her out (Seems "Marginally" better) but not as I'd like ... I popped round to my "Pet" Mech (Merc Specialist) he had a drive & felt it was probs a Soledoid sticking in the gearbox ( Said it was just like a Merc CLK he had done with the same symptoms)
I bit of digging revealed that the 'box was in fact a AW 50/55 sn box (although Renault call it a SU1-002) .... I KNOW about these boxes coz my "personal" car is a Volvo C70 T5 (with the same box)
ANY info you can come up with on Laguna 2's would be helpful..
Cheers Guys
Keith

Very, very nice! The Laguna V6 is a highly underrated beast - as you can tell by the price you paid.
You'll get to know the woman behind the dash very well throughout Laguna ownership and you'll quickly realise that she's rather pessimistic.
I haven't encountered any Renault auto gearbox trouble - touch wood - so i can't help here. However, I do know that Renault issues software updates which have improved some people's clunkiness.
The xenon headlights - Your problem will be that the sensors which do the adjusting are not working correctly. Look first at the front left wishbone. (easier if the wheel is removed). You should see that there is a little linkage (about 6cm long) between the wishbone and a small electrical box. Most likely this little linkage has pushed off one end, of if you are unlucky has dropped off altogether. There are also sensors at the rear which suffer the same problem.
Are your lights just moving up and down all the time?
