Activa economy

Unread post by Sl4yer »

Well, I've finally managed it! 540 miles to, around and from Cumbria this week, and averaged 30.7 MPG, and with a heavily laden car too! :D Just shows that it can be done with a light right foot.

The car had recon spheres from Westroen last week, and is riding beautifully. Spent most of Tuesday and Wednesday with wife and baby asleep in the back, and the wife won't normally sleep in cars!

Doesn't surprise me.

Look at my sig. That is without trying either ;)

They are surprisingly economical on a run. Town driving soon kills it though

Mine did 31MPG last weekend when I went to the DSM, a round trip of slightly over 500 miles. Most of which were on motorways cruising at high speeds, not trying for economy. Im impressed with that.

Town driving really does bring the MPG down, I guess something like 18MPG round town?

One of the lads at work went to Manchester and back in a 1.8 Bora and didn't get much better mileage than that.
