The Haynes manual does cover the post '98 facelift Xantia, unfortunately it doesn't cover the turbo petrol engines though.
For everything other than the engine itself, the Haynes manual for the 93-98 versions should be ok for your car.

There will be a new Haynes Xantia manual out this summer. I know it will cover the HDi engine but don't know about the petrol.

If you are desperate to get info on the engine the best bet is to pick up a copy of the XM haynes manual as the engines are basically the same, and the XM manual does cover the Turbo petrol motor.
Also the XM manual hints at things like engine managment and hydraulic clutch, which are unique to the turbo engine.

The Turbo Xantia has a Hydraulic clutch?
Does it have it's own supply of fluid or does it run off the LHM? The owners manual makes no mention of it.
I'll be popping the bonnet and taking a look when it's light.
In reply to Ade.
The manual can be used for most jobs on the car and much of the engine is the same (or very similar to) the 2.0 8valve, at least as far as locations of bits goes.
Can be awkward to get parts for as many places don't even list it, GSF do although I've been informed the thermostat they (and a certain other online french car specialist) list for it is the wrong one. I even had an insurance company who insisted my car did not exist.[:(!]

Yup, as far as I know, the 2.0t and 2.1TD Xantias and all diesel XMs have a hydraulic clutch. According to the haynes XM manual it is a self contained system that is seperate from the main LHM system.

Finally remembered to have a look and sure enough next to the brake valve there is another hydraulic block. Takes a bit of seeing the clutch end under all the other gubbins and I can't see any way to fill/bleed the system but at least I don't have to worry about the dreaded plastic clip.
I had always thought it had an unusually light clutch for an XU engined Cit.
