Rusty C5 Suspension struts.

HAd a look at problem. Turns out I need a new front brake caliper (Crappy ionisation) but noticed the suspension struts are somewhat rusty and not oiled as my other.

Is this okay. I thought they were meant to leak a little to keep it lubricated?

Mine are a bit rusty too - I've given them a coat of Waxoil to stop it going further.
They are indeed intended to leak a bit, but that's all internal, and won't keep the visible bits shiny.
