Aint it the way?

Unread post by addo »

Right before it was convenient, the Xantia heater has sprung a more significant leak...

So now we have at chez moi:
Unassembled R16 (waiting for a round tuit)
405Mi16 with no aircon gas (and it's still midsummer)
Xantia with duff heater
605 unregistered and with no aircon (pressostat?)

Alfa with no issues other than some interior trim going a bit sticky.

I see a strong pattern emerging.

Sounds like me...............

Land Rover waiting for new engine, Harley needs a serious oil leak fixing, MX-5 with lots of odd jobs to do, 2CV needs brakes.

Some day, some day...........

That is quite a long list your building up there, at least you'll not be bored any time soon

Im grateful that our lot rarely actually needs something vital doing, there is always something to fiddle with on the cars and sort out but usually nothing too involved or time absorbing.

Adam, a heater matrix in a Xantia is not a difficult job, just mind-bogglingly tedious and long.

Now get on and get it done

Anyway, it's summer. Just bypass it for now... I did just that on my V6 and did the matrix just after the first journey where I shivered a bit...

Chris: I left out two Falcons, my International SWB truck, the ID19, me mate's Spitfire and another Frogmobile. Boredom is not really in my lexicon.

Meater hatrix is going to wait (I bypassed it already) until I have a week of not needing it, as I will also be replacing the firewall insulation and renewing the aircon flex hoses.

Alfa continues, unhindered.

It got a 300+km spanking today, half of it in a mate's hands. I waited until he'd just come out of a hard sweeper at about 70MPH before telling of the mismatched (brand and tread) rear tyres.

You need to come out here and drive some big petrol engined cars on our empty country roads, before it's all banned in the name of something-or-other.
