Any Activa parts needed?

Unread post by Toby_HDi »

With me getting the Activa sorted to go back on the road, I'm considering a trip to Hayling Island where this seemingly perfectly good Activa is being broken up.

Rather than stick a stainless system on, which if I'm honest I can't really afford at the moment, he has a standard centre section listed at a decent price which I'm tempted by. It means that the Activa can be sorted quicker and I can get driving it again.

If I'm going up there (I need to check exactly where my exhaust has broken first) is there anything else that is needed? Might as well save as much as we can.

Well I've just discovered that its the backbox that is broken so I don't need to go over there now.

Apologies.

I am still trying to figure out the mentality of somebody who would break-up a perfectly acceptable car.

From what I can gather, a few items (rams and wheels) have been sold, but much of it is still available. Wonder if he realises he may have caught a cold?

I do have my eye a few interesting bits, but only to put away on the shelf as replacements, so I do not want to pay over the odds for these items. That and the fact its a bit of a trip for me, even on the South coast.

Well I've decided I will be going after all. I might as well have the centre section, just in case it has been damaged by the backbox breaking away.

If not it can be stashed.

If anyone needs anything it's probably worth emailing him yourself to agree something and I can collect it for you.

He definitely caught a cold. When I was down there at the weekend he was trying to palm bits off on me for free. Gave me a boot liner, headlight and indicator for free. ..
