to be fair i dont need one, i have a compressor in the shed with a propper inflator on it but i guess i was blinded by the freeness :lol:

I have a little digi pressure gauge from Halfords, it does seem very accurate and lasts ages. Only £5 too.

Looks like this was nonsense from the start. No-one appears to have received any of these tyre gauges.

Just seen this posting.
Everything here seems to be duff info.
Even Trainmans train tyre comments are incorrect.
Most railways stopped using tyres on the wheels when they adopted disk brakes. Modern wheels are made from a solid steel disk. There is a circular groove on the outer edge of the wheel disk that looks like the join between the tyre and wheel centre. This is actually the maximum wear limit mark. The only european railway to persist with tyred wheels on high speed trains suffered a serious disaster caused by a broken tyre.

Nope, well i didnt get mine and i havnt heard of anyone that got one, to be fair i think they may have been swamped by the demand, once these things get round the net there are huge numbers of people that apply.
