You need an Alfa, then. 147 GTA or 156. Nicest red leather on the "ordinary" market. (Excluding supercars and special orders.)

Yes, those interiors look fantastic, ive seen quite a few normal 147s with red leather too.

Going away from the French theme, ive noticed there are so many new BMWs in white with red leather around. I did see a white 120i cabrio with PINK leather the other day, I saw it twice. Yuck!

Don't think any PSA cars have had red leather?

Have seen a couple of 607s with reddish/burgundy hide interiors. Likably different, but lacking that boldness of the Alfa insides.

I don't rate BMWs; IMO the company should have been forced to change its name and logo post-1945. Besides, I usually feel like the seats are from that same factory as the old pressed "bucket" tractor perches that were sprung on a quarter ellipse leaf.

Chris, buying a Vel Satis was bizarre enough, do you really expect UK buyers to specify a mad colour interior as well!??

I've caught a few blue and green leather interior Vel Satis' on the market... never seen one with red leather.

Here's the green. Makes it look like an old pub.

I think the 206 CC came with red leather at one point?

And yes I would have! It's the one car I'd sell the Meg for, gone off the 407.

Wow, i think i quite like it  Its very different, i thought it might be awful but its not, i bet the blue is better?

Id have been ordering my Vel Satis with red leather interior, I would have said a red exterior before i knew about the leather, but that would be too much, so i think the dark grey. With the DV6 engine!

Haha glad to hear you're thinking about your dream Vel Satis!

Mine would be a 3.5 V6 in Black with the Blue leather interior. I doubt one exists...

Blue looks absolutely superb, if I come across the photos I'll post them! I wasn't sure on the green at first but I love it. Grey leather is pretty rare too, it would be my next preference after blue.

These cars get more interesting dont they!

I used to have a brochure for the Vel somewhere, i must do somethere but where!? Ive got an Avantime one, well a few, but can't find a Vel Satis one. Shame.

If the 3.5 V6 was a manual, then yes, that would be awesome! Must be going for peanuts now too. I like the red one on ebay, 3.5 V6 with cloth interior ....

Too right!

There's a few real nice ones on ebay, although I have to say, I don't like Flame Red as a body colour.

I'm pretty sure I have a good few of the same Vel Satis brochures. I'll have a look and could post you one if you're that keen - it's the kind of behaviour I like to encourage :D

Is flame red the same as the Megane colour? Looks different, as that looks more pinky.

That would be great, thanks!

They're both called the same thing, but I agree, they don't look the same.

World's quietest ventilation system!? I don't think so! And it has to be on ALL the time if it's raining and you have passengers as the Vel Satis likes to mist up!

Here's a 2.2 dCi in full glory... might tempt you??

They certainly run smoothly and quietly!

What would be wrong with that then, another common problem besides the turbo?

Yeh there's another problem - mine didn't make that noise!!

When a Mégane makes that noise it's usually the dephaser pulley. Sounds like the engine is eating itself!

Can't you just chuck the dephaser away?
From what I have read it's a bit of a useless item anyway, built to cause trouble, like EGRs.
