Well, Imagine my surprise when arriving at work this afternoon to see another Vel Satis, this time a 2.2 DCiR9UKE wrote:You should have! Bit of a cheat, there was a space next to the Vel Satis, quick picture opportunity, I thought

That works very much in our favour with Citroens. I'm just waiting for sub-£1000 C6s to make an appearanceR9UKE wrote: Works well for me. Savage depreciation and the fact that nobody wants them means I can pick up my favourite cars for little over £1,000

Well i do understand your Renaultitis, some very nice cars made by Renault, very different, innovative (who would need a MPG Coupe!) and different, i like that. While i dont think the Vel Satis appeals for style, I dont think its ugly either, it is appealing for lots of other reasons and it certainly has presence. Huge, comfy, roomy, excellent value, well equipped, rare and very individual - you could not confuse it with anything else.R9UKE wrote:Hahaha few people do understand. The C6 is gorgeous... but I'd have the Vel everytimerobert_e_smart wrote:Luke, I don't understand your Renaultitis!!
That C6 looks a million times nicer than the Vel Satis, and will be as cheap as them soon enough as well
The Avantime is a stunning looking car, probably not something ill ever own as i cant see me needing such a thing, but it is very stylish, different and they do seem to have a following. Maybe a small one, but then there is only a small number of Avantimes around!
Though i would have a C6 over the Renault, though i do wonder, with many people liking the C6, if there will be many to do go around when prices do drop to what some people think reasonable. Thats if they do, as demand might keep them a little higher than previous big citroens.

For me that picture of the C6 with the VelSatis is the best example I've ever
seen to illustrate the monicker 'beauty and the beast' though different folk here
will obviously have skewed opposite feelings about which is which. That nose
treatment seems to me to have overtones of an Edsel, probably the ugliest
car known to man...

You do seem to judge cars on styling over a lot else Andrew, you might think its ugly, but they are very good cars. Its styling might be a bit controversial, but at least you stand out!andmcit wrote:For me that picture of the C6 with the VelSatis is the best example I've ever

I rather like it, but then im not one for boring, normal looking cars. Then again, if they are good cars i would never overlook them just on styling.
