C3 Rear Spring

Unread post by meexi »

Hi All,

Due to our billiard smooth roads in the Angus borough breaking my rear near side spring i will have to order one from the dealers as i have an XTR version with the longer spring.

One thing i noticed when looking on E-Bay was that some springs are not suitable for a C3 with a panoramic sunroof.

Anybody any idea why not?

Regards

My guess, more cut out of the roof the more strengthning needed in the lower shell for Ridgidy...

So, this then coupled with the glass roof, may means more weight, may more strain on standard springs...

Ohhh for hydraulics... theres no worries about srings and srings unsuitability..

if you post the last 8 digits of your chassis/VIN No. i will get you the OE price and part No., which you could aim at the local motor factors to cross referance to the corect after market springy,

i would think it could also be if the wrong sring were fitted it might allow the shell to flex more and shater the roof
