Donor for V6 Activa conversion?

LHD Activa V6 near Paris in France
No connection to me, but thought someone might be interested...
They are asking €1000 (or offers) for a V6 Activa with leather but no registration documents. It was advertised a few months ago with pictures, and looked quite nice.
It could be that the registration was "lost" due to incomplete documentation during an attempt to import it from into France from another country (it seems to be common in France).

Shame about the documents. Will be a real pig to import into the UK as a whole car, if not impossible.

Surely documentary proof of the car's age from the chassis number through
either Citroen or a clued up car club would date the car and allow a correct
age registration. I accept that the risk of verifying it's ownership would rest on
a receipt from the seller mind. I've trailered cars into a UK port and not one
official was remotely interested in the car riding piggyback on the trailer...
