I can see myself getting into trouble here now and into the future. :(

My local brake and hoses specialist and now GSF have both stopped selling
the 3.5mm hydraulic pipe nuts and seals. Trawling around the service Citroen
parts site I cannot find individual pipe ends listed so where do I get some?
I need at least a dozen or so to tackle the pipework on the rear end of a
Xantia as the current lot will all likely crumble to dust the second I attempt
to renew one of them and have to disturb the adjacent ones... :(

I've got the flare tool but apparently no way of making my own pipes and
more to the point nowhere to buy the cupro-nikel either although I have
around 40metres of it at the moment.

Am I unduly spooked when the aswas known A and D spares cannot be
bothered to supply hydraulic stuff? Are we now in completely into the times
where you have to call an accredited expert to come out and check you've
wired your 13amp plug safely because as a society we can't be trusted to
do anything more than tie our shoelaces? Heaven forbid being allowed to
get into a metal box and career around the countryside at speeds of up to
70mph. Such wanton negligence...

and playing around with high pressurised weird Citroen hydraulics? Forget it?

I know just what you mean. I tried to book a venue for a gig recently and for the first time ever they told me I now had to have all the bands electrical gear PAT tested and we had to provide our own public liability insurance to the value of £5 million. Grrrrr

Sort of like the construction industry has had to do for a long time? :lol:

(The difference being, you are less likely to throw in the trowel if it rains...)

Hi Andrew, I've had the same problem recently. Cannot locate the parts on the Service site for some reason. They seem to have taken off a lot of these small but extremely useful parts. Maybe Citroen are telling us something about the supply of spares for these obsolete models. :shock: :shock:

Have you tried Martin, Plaiedes, as I hope he still has them in stock? I am off to France next year to stock up on my Citroen small parts. PM me if there is anything you want.

Martins Number is 01487-831239 best to try between 4 & 5pm but you might get luck during the day. he would probably be able to make them up for you if not in stock.
Citroen Xantia S2 1.9 TD estate 189K soon to be broken for parts Jan 2017 headlamps & radiator fan assembly already spoken for & A 1987 Citroen 2CV6 special just for fun.
New addition Citroen C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Hatch purchased 09/12/2016 with 83K on the clock.

According to the Brownhills, Total have discontinued Hydraurinçage.

:shock:

There we go, folks - right on the ten-year dot of ceasing green fluid car production, they drop us like a hot potato.

I bought some 3.5mm cupro nickel pipe from them a while ago whilst they were still a UK based operation, but I think that they have now relocated to France.
They sell the tube nuts and LHM pipe seals.
