Espace diesel warning light

Hi, as the title says.It been a bit cold in West Wales recently :lol: On start up all is well and car starts and runs,but I get a warning symbol on the dash that looks like a pan with a lid on and squiggles rising from it ? Its beeps at me as well ! Now its a bit warmer here the problem has gone.Any ideas folks ? :D

Difficult to say without seeing it. I'm not too familiar with Renault either.

From your description its meant to be a cataylst or possibly a fuel cannister. :)

So that would mean either emission related issue (ECU will switch this on) or 'Water In Fuel' (for the fuel one)

Changing the fuel filter should fix the latter I would say. Its possible condensation built up but its gone now (still worth changing the filter though to be honest)

Update, I have found the symbol in the handbook but just says ring Renault. I think it is as you say the catalyst but do not understand how the "overheating" symbol would show on start up,maybe overfueling due to colder than normal weather ???
