Hi,
Does anyone have any ideas where to get a replacement gearbox cable for a 1995 Xantia 1.9d auto? Citroen want £260!

Sounds like the Ball has popped from the joint inside the control house..
S2's are openable, arent the S1's openable?
Would these not be the same as XM units?

Rather than trying to replace it complete, it may be an idea to consult an outfit like SpeedyCables and see if they will repair it for you.

Yes, that'll be it John. It's all a cynical ploy to get you to throw in the towel and get a nice, shiny new Citroen...jonincornwall wrote:I don't understand why it's so expensive, just price gouging I suppose
There's got to be a way. I'm surprised SpeedyCables won't help after boasting on their website thyey can do anyting with cables.
An alternative is to look at any automatic in a scrapyard and see if the cable can be adapted to suit. Else, it might come down to a bit of good old DIY to make up a replacement cable from say, a clutch cable.
