04 C3 fault code P0116

1.4 petrol

i fitted a new temprature sensor and a week later the engine managment light has come back on and the temprature i showing high,

the fault comes up on the DIS LEXIA as Coolant temp, temp rise incoherence.,

anyone sudgest what sized hammer to use now

i spoz anything is possible,

the prob i have is the car lives in Brighton (about 50 miles along the coast from me),

and the owner does'nt stop talking even when im trying to ask the sequence of events

,

my local dealer's parts man say's they sell a lot of the sensor's, but he also say's it could be a fault in/with the BSI,
