There is a S1 Xantia in that spec, the one which has been for sale in the Citroenian for a while. Though its an estate body with a S2 front, its very tidy, V6 manual with exclusive trim and hydractive suspension. Sounds excellent to me.robert_e_smart wrote:Take the Activa word out, and I would then agree with you...Maybe the ultimate Xantia. Activa, V6, all the Exclusive bits and manual gearbox![]()

Re: Activa V6
The green car is lovely, maybe in 6 months time i could be interested... let me know what you would be after!hattershaun wrote:Hi Active8,ACTIVE8 wrote:Hi hattershaun
Regarding the second Activa on your fleet list, are you going to do a second "point and pay" conversion?
The short answer is yes, the second Activa that I have recently bought will become a V6, after which my first one will be offered for sale. It may sound a bit extravagant, but I really like the colour Dante & I like to have a sunroof for the extra light that is in the cabin. The new Activa has both of these.
If you know anyone fancying the green Activa V6, then let me know........
I've started work on the Dante car as it needed a fair bit of general improvement anyhow; it's had a complete set of 10 Citroën genuine spheres fitted, virtually every sphere on the car was past it's best. I've a rear ram bush to fit, along with front Activa links & bushes, a new wheel bearing and the list goes on. I have a donor car for V6 engine & other V6 specific bits.
All the best,
Shaun

Re: Activa V6
I know that the green car has had approximately £5000 worth of labour & £3000 worth of parts (all Citroen genuine; clutch, exhaust, cambelt, water pump, heater matrix, spheres & more) lavished upon it. The car's only covered 67,000 miles from new, ditto the engine/gearbox. I'm not expecting to get all that back, so open to offers. Six months time would probably be good timing for me too, as I'd like to carry on driving this one until the new one is ready.XantiaMan wrote:The green car is lovely, maybe in 6 months time i could be interested... let me know what you would be after!hattershaun wrote:Hi Active8,ACTIVE8 wrote:Hi hattershaun

Looks like I've been beaten to it! That's a good thing though as I was wondering what manual gearbox they used as I will be converting my Activa to a 3.0 litre V6 manual with Exclusive goodies in the summer. Does the 2.0 litre gearbox work with the V6 I wonder, and if so what problems were encountered? Still I'm sure that I will end up finding out for myself....

It's a gearbox and driveshafts from a Peugeot 406 V6.
Brakes, radiators, pipework, etc are all needed from a Xantia V6 so ideally you need a Xantia V6 to sacrifice.
Then obviously you need your Activa for the conversion.
I've spoken to Shaun in great detail about his car, it sounds and looks stunning. Unfortunately at the moment thanks to work I'm not in a position to buy it!
I know where there is an Activa with a knackered engine, then you just need to find a 406 for breaking and Xantia V6 with a knackered gearbox!
David.

Yes I'm aware of that one but not at the money being asked (£5750 with IIRC 100k miles) for what is after all a bit of mongrel (a S2 front on a S1) that price is dreamlandXac wrote:A V6 exclusive estate for sale?Citroenmad wrote:There is a S1 Xantia in that spec, the one which has been for sale in the Citroenian for a while. Shauns' car does interest me but storage space and general costs of running a fleet of car's will be the issue for me.

Thanks for the information DHallworth.
I have a V6 Xantia which I am using to upgrade my Activa. I am being very careful to keep all the wiring, boxes, cables and pipework that come with the V6 (I'll be leaving just the shell, doors, bonnet and tailgate). I will try to sell the autobox and associated equipment to anyone who wants a good box, and try to locate the Pug V6 gearbox after that. Additionally, if the transplant is successful, there will then be a good 2.0l turbo (85,000 miles on it) engine, turbo, gearbox, and related parts for sale.

It was on the CCC stand at the classic car show a couple of years go, the same year our van was there. So i had a good look around the car. It was very nice and very very well done. The conversion of the front to S2 is very good, unless you see the rear bumper then you would think its a S2 from the outside, S2 exclusive wheels too.DickieG wrote:Yes I'm aware of that one but not at the money being asked (£5750 with IIRC 100k miles) for what is after all a bit of mongrel (a S2 front on a S1) that price is dreamlandXac wrote:A V6 exclusive estate for sale?Citroenmad wrote: There is a S1 Xantia in that spec, the one which has been for sale in the Citroenian for a while. Im sure he had another V6 Xantia too, but a hatchback.
It is big money, but with the figures being mentioned in here it might be reasonable for the costs involved to convert it.
