Anyone else noticed the rash of these lately?
I'm unimpressed. A couple of "me too" or "I had one of them, it was lovely" type posts and always a signature link to a commercial website.
Anyone else peeved off by these imposters?

One option would be to block account registration with free email addresses such as gmail or hotmail.
That would require all legitimate users to change their email addresses before and wait for us to reactivate their accounts as an email address change by a user desables their account for security.

On http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/index.php new members have to have their first few posts (three I think) approved by a mod before their comments are posted on the forum, would such an idea be possible on here?
One useful thing I've noticed from the same forum is that posts can be viewed by hovering the mouse pointer over the title thereby save wasting time downloading posts which are not of interest, is such a thing possible with FCF?

I suspect that the forum software would have to be upgraded which was something that was being avoided if at all possible.

I've gone through the first page of most recent members and spammified any which appear to be spammers either through posts or through their profile details.
