Good spot - they've done a couple before too:

...and one on a CX GTi Auto that I can't find a link for.

Reading the comments, its interesting to see how they split opinion.

Nice to see there are plenty of Citroen lovers out there. Seems those that ridicule them are the typical 'oh it is French, it is crap' brigade, only interested if its German.

...and what annoys me is that the people that haven't even owned one / been in one can't get general info right about them. :-k
Yes...people have called me an anorak before...!8-[

Although saying that there are some good opinions about it on there and any publicity is good publicity as the saying goes! :D

There was a brilliant line on the Activa comments that someone posted, what they said was absolutely rediculous. Just going to find it now.

"Interesting Citroen chose a 'normal' base/SE Audi A4 for the cornering comparison with lofty suspension settings & 195x65 tyres... hardly fair

Surely a more fair comparison would have been the Sport trim variant (loosely put) with suitably reduced ride height, stiffened springs, and moderate 205x55 tyres for a more fair comparison.

I may be biased but i bet i know which one would perform better in the real world even in consideration of understeer city........"

The point is the Activa is a car with lofty suspension when it wants to be, AND a brilliant handler, when it wants to be.. Imbecile...

Someones response:

"ermm... the point is the citroen has sublimely smooth and soft suspension - why would it only be "fair" to put it alongside a hardened, firmer sports car ride? The point is quite simple, it has far superior handling yet retains the smooth wafting. I've got an A4, you are deluded if you think it'll ever out handle a Xantia. Even in sport trim."

Brilliant!

They also did a shed of the week with an Xm too, using our old white XM for the pics as it was for sale at the time.

I have the full road test of that picture caption from 'CAR' magazine, its also put against the BMW 320i. The Audi A4 was a 1.8T - they were chosen as they were all a similar price, though the Xantia was around £2000 less! Offering the same horse power.

Its quite a good read actually, it does comment on the soft suspension and lack of rubber on the A4, though ive driven A4s and they are certainly not as good as a lot of cars, so no competition for an Activa!

In the back of the mag there is a pic of a standard VSX Xantia corning hard and below a picture of an Activa, its quite surprising. Ive posted this pic up on here somewhere.

Talking about this CX, we we're out and about the other weekend in the C6 and we saw it coming the other way.
A rare sight indeed! 8-)

I know this car! I went to see it a year ago, it is rotten to the core! They motd it to take the plate off, I'm sure it must have been a dodgy mot.

It's been advertised lots of times in lots of places, ranging in price from free to about £700.
