I miss The Donk

Post by lexi »

Yeah 1.9td Xantia estate SX is missed. Loadlugger ,roofracker with long ladders, tow boater tow trailer and even dossing overnight. 40 MPG all day long.

Aint got room for another as too many cars here in my Boil in the Bag residential area space.

Hey! Aint they going fast? and not really any low milers or totally rust free ones around. V6 hatch is a nice consolation though

Sadly, the weighbridges around the country are working flat out for cars
that some may even still intend keeping for the duration - it's the scumbags
clearing everything that's not bolted down and some that is too, with this
off the back of that b*stard insidious scrappage scheme that pretty much
only saved the far eastern motor industry as we don't have one anymore.

Every house in my road has a cloned "me-too" shopping trolley no bigger
than a Clio with some food blender for an engine so we must be saving
the world now then. Oh, hang on, the USofA, China and India etc don't
give a chuff and are carrying on regardless while we p!ss in the wind.

Caught me at a bad moment there, sorry...

Maybe Andrew but there's a lot of truth in what you say - sadly...

I'm not a great fan of this grey, conformist mush that 99.9% of the population has become. Individuality is a great thing...

It really is amazing what clear skies and sunshine can do for one's state of mind.

Yep, it's a beautiful sunny morning here in Blighty.... Absolutely gorgeous.

Only one thing. It's -1 degree and a white frost :D

I loooove days like this, even though one has the chore of de-icing the car...

Xac, not an individual? Come on...

Dad reads the Heliograph, unfortunately he also believes it! :(

Was very chilly standing on the platform this morning and the walk up to fleet street from Temple tube station wasn't pleasant either.
Need to find a slightly warmer coat that won't have me overheating on the trains or underground.
Danielle suggested a "knitted jacket" as they're now called, but I don't think cardigans are really me.

Get a nice good underlayer in there Xac and you'll be fine.

Though i think sweating on the tube is a condition of carriage these days...

Cycling to work this morning and got to the office and took off my fingerless gloves to find that there was a line across my fingers from red to white due to the cold :( even my nose was dripping when i got in and i've only just gone from shorts and t shirt to trousers and jacket now :(

Central Milton Keynes railway station is the bleakest place on this planet in the winter, in fact at any season really..

You think it's cold there now Xac, just you wait until it really gets cold. The station will then feel like Eastern Siberia and then some. The cold seems to funnel down the tracks and dump itself in the station.

'Orrible place.

Have you noticed that London is always a good few degrees warmer than Milton keynes in the winter?

Well, it would be individual if nothing else...

Only one thing for really keeping the cold at bay..

I hate to mention this...

You may not agree....

Leather :D

Have you ever seen a cow shivering?

No? Then I rest my case. Get a good leather coat and all will be good...

They may have leather jim but they also have about 1/2 tonne of fat layers as well which keeps in shed loads of heat. and think how much heat they produce digesting food 4 times and then farting it out....

I reckon they all have lighters and when they huddle together they have fart light contests and see who can create the biggest flamthrower that day :D

I reckon they must get a good 3' out of them LOL!

They don't shiver when my wife cooks em...........she kills them twice

Late Autumn is here. I just bought Calor Gas bottle for Garage .

Don't all FCF members have Anoraks to keep warm?

Having built a decent 10N block garage 3yrs ago with pitched and tiled roof I will say this:

The best garage in this country is a wooden one. Solid built are freezing.
