I'm thinking of buying a pluriel anyone got one?

Yes they leak.
They are reliable apart from the leaks.
I don't think they come with a real auto box, only sensodrive which drives a bit different to a proper autobox.
Don't do it You could be looking at big money to sort out any leak problems.

They are not great cars im my experience! My other half has got one and it does leak when it rains! Bit cheap and not well built either, my MRS loves her little baby, but even she says she would not recomend one!

Try fixing one & then you'll understand, they're an OK idea at best but the roof rails cannot be stored within the vehicle when removed so if you go out somewhere & then decide to remove them you can't store them in the car, or take them off whilst your at home & risk the elements/weather! & I'll agree with what has already been said 'they certainly leak!' & can be a right swine to cure + expensive, last time i heard a quote for a new roof it was in the £3500.00 + region, i don't rate that sensodrive gearbox either, it's gear changes are poor, its complicated & also expensive to fix, puriels are kinda rare for a good reason & i certainly would never buy one!

It has been reported that the roof can leak and also go wrong in operation, requiring a new roof cassette at SOME money. The roof does appear to be a bit complex in design and im not sure id want one for that reason. However they are very different in their design and shape, they look pretty good in my opinion and are different from other cars, which i always like.

Ive recently had experience of the sensodrive gearbox and its not too bad once you get used to it. For me it gets rid of some thing si dislike about autoboxes but introduces new drwabacks.

It is a manual gearbox with automatic changes, so it still has a normal clutch. The car does not slip the clutch so its either on or off, making nudging up to things a bit tricky. Its either all or nothing and take a little getting used to. But once you are its easier and you can control it at parking speed. The changes are slow though, but in manual mode the gears change better and faster, you can make the gear changes unnoticable if you ease of while it changes. It makes driving a doddle and as it changes up early or when you want by using the paddles it makes for a easy and economical combination with the 1.6 engine.

Our odd 1007 has the 1.6 with sensodrive, if i know im going to be stuck in traffic i usually take it, as its great in stop start traffic, saves my left leg and my C5s clutch too.
