Robyn's passed her test!

Post by CitroJim »

Just had to post this..

My daughter Robyn has just passed her driving test :D :D :D

She did it a couple of months before her 18th birthday..

I completely forgot she was taking her test today and the first I realised was when she called and said "Dad, I've passed my test!!!!"

She's now able to pilot her Pug 206 all on her own and that means less dad's Taxi work for me.

Guess I'll still be filling her petrol tank though...

I think she'll be wanting to very soon Brady. I never let her try one before she passed her test because it's an auto but now she has...

She's already driven an Activa and loved it. In fact it rather astounded her.

If she found an Activa good then a V6, well...

Wonder how much it would cost to insure her on it  If it was not too silly, she could take custody of my MK1...

Congratulations to Robin.
You'll never see her now, she'll be out in the Pug all the time - until she decides a 3L V6 Xantia is a step up

Hi Mike,

I've posed a potential cause in the original thread...

It's a common failure on the Activa and all otehrs using this mount arrangement

Thanks all for the congrats to Robyn, she'll be delighted when I show her this thread :D

Just make sure it doesn't cost more than a taxi, which it will. Dad rate can be expensive

Congratulations to Robyn!! Seems like she took to driving and cars in general like duck to water. Excellent news.

Jim, keep the Mk1 V6. You know what she really wants is a V6 Coupé

No, third. She should have got it first time but she had a problem: her mum is a driving examiner and naturally she couldn't test her and under such circumstances special arrangements have to be made for testing close relatives of examiners involving the area chief examiner conducting the test with a second examiner also present to see fair play.

As a result, poor old Robyn fell apart in a bag of nerves first time, not unexpectedly, and the second time she failed on a very trivial and arguable point. In short, because of the circumstances, they gave Robyn a very stiff test and cut her no slack whatsoever. This time she breezed it, as I expected she would, as her driving is good enough to allow me to relax as a passenger and as is well known, the people I'm happy to ride with can be counted on the digits of one hand..

Robyn, Robyn's mum, DickieG, CitroenXM and Val...

And that's it. I will ride with nobody else... I am the world's worst passenger...
