Stratford
Can anyone tell me when the Stratford meet is? I gather it is next weekend (11th/12th). Where is it?

Well im off tomorrow, but ive got quite a lot to catch up on and my car is trying its best to annoy me or i would have came down for the day tomorrow.
Its a shame as its one of the last events of the year.

I'm making the most of the full weekend stays now before the possibility of having to work weekends comes up!Trainman wrote:Stop rubbing it in some of us have to work all weekendred_dwarfers wrote:I'm there all weekend
It was a pity Chris. Make sure you book off the weekend of 10th October for the Duxford Autumn Air Show thoughCitroenmad wrote:Well im off tomorrow, but ive got quite a lot to catch up on and my car is trying its best to annoy me or i would have came down for the day tomorrow.

Stratford was good. Geoff did indeed turn up and passed over a pair of hubs that I believe are destined for you Adam. John didn't but he will be up my way soonish to pick up said hubs and a V6 exhaust I'm storing for him.
Saturday was not well attended, maybe due to the weather and I ended up spending most of the afternoon and evening with the BX Club contingent; it was very heartily enjoyed
Sunday had an excellent turnout and some very tasty cars. C6s are now as common as Xantias at rallys
Highlights were the V6 Activa conversion I spoke of in another thread, a Slough-built 1950s 2CV in brand-new condition and a brand new DS23 Pallas EFi that reportedly cost £100K to restore and it looked it too. EVERYTHING looked factory-fresh It had a private pate on it: 1974 DS. It was a bargain relatively at £2K
There was an immaculate Slough-built Traction and a very tidy Ami 8 that has been owned-by the same person for 42 years!
My personal highlight was taking delivery of my new V6. A Mauritius blue very early MK2 on a R plate with cream leather and only 61K on the clock. It has full service history and even the original bill of sale. They were expensive cars new
It drives like a new one and I've finally experienced cruise control I must now redouble efforts to get it working in my MK1 V6...
My new V6 has now gone into semi-storage. It'll only be out to play on long trips and special occasions.
And with the conclusion of Stratford, that's the main rally season over until 2011 now
