Welcome to the forum :)

You are certainly lucky to find a low mileage diesel Xantia, very hard to come by.

Though it would be a shame to ruin it if the cambelt goes, so id be getting worried if it was mine. Get it done asap.

When we got our Xm last September it had 58K miles, full service history but no mention of a cambelt change. So as it it was 14 years old it wasnt worth risking. I drove it home and parked it until the cambelt and water pump was replaced.

Its not too difficult a job so it wont cost the earth.

Thanks for comments i am getting it done the car is the green bit like british racing green and it is an estate i got it off autotrader it was for sale in may it wasnt on ebay i would put up some pics but am new to computers and find it confusing
