My son's girlfriend wants a small, economical car for work as they both head off in opposite directions in a morning and only have one car between them now.
Wasn't a problem before he totalled his bike and a lot of flesh and bone in the process, can't ride a bike anymore, not for a couple of years at least.
They were after a Ka, 106,206 0r 306 but couldn't find anything any good in their somewhat limited price range.
Should only need it for a short time as she is going back to work with him eventually but now he has to get a lift to work and she takes their Golf, otherwise she has to leave home at 5am to get to work at 9.

Bugger - just emailed the ebay ad to him - he isn't responding so I presume they are away somewhere.

Never mind, pleased you sold it.

i think he said it was a Seat andrew, just bee down to see the activa though, i take it its not normal that they spend all their time rocking from side to side? is this caused by play in the roll correction mechanism? if all goes to plan it will be on my drive tomorrow evening 8-)

Brilliant :D

No, you have there sir, a case of the Activa Shuffles. Cured by replacing the roll corrector rods and guide blocks and generally overhauling the roll corrector mechanism.

The bits yu need are reassuringly cheap from your local dealer and the work you need to do not at all difficult :D

Is a ram bush required Dean? I ask as a badly worn one, say with a good 1/8" play in it, can also give rise to shuffles... Look under and if the ram is seen rocking about it's lower eye, the bush is badly worn.

didnt poke it that much jim, didnt drive it either as driving a modded car in the middle of ryde with no tax is asking for trouble. Tbh i know its a project ( god knows when im going to find the time for it) but it starts and runs then it faulters and farts and the orange light of doom comes on then it smooths out and runs like a dream, not sure about the turbo, i think it isnt turbo related but there is no boost, infact the boost guage is only finding a vacume at the throttle body but i have my eye on other things first.
i will have to wait till it comes back before i can play with it proper but it is a tidy looking car that i can make something out of given enough time.
