806 gearbox

I have been reading a lot on the forum about this problem
806 1.9svdt I have just had a second hand gearbox put in the car only to find it chrucks in 3 gear when you go down throw the gears I have just pay £1130 for the old box and the now one in.An I right that the box is a ML5T engine is a UXD9TE, roday I order from peugeot new synchro for 3 gear and pinion shaft with end bearing if you can shed more light on this

Hi Graham,

Funny how 3rd synchro is always the one to go...

Are you sure it's an ML5T? Easy way to tell, an ML5T will have a hydraulic clutch.

Those parts must have cost the earth? New gearbox internals are very pricey.

Are you planning to fit them yourself?

What went wrong with the original 'box?

If you still have it, you can practice stripping it and, depending on what failed in it, use it as a spares donor and make one good one from the two...

no its a cable, clutch lever go down the front the gearbox is there another
car that use the same gearbox as the 806 diesel it mite help
