World's prettiest cars
The ugly topic has been busy so just for fun...
No Ferraris, GT40s etc. that's too easy. Cars for everyman, please.
(The CX, SM and the Goddess qualify automatically, of course.)
Fiat's 128 3p Berlinetta?

Assuming the Vantage is excluded (I will own one), I think Minis (not the new one) look absolutely spiffing all chromed up with old-style rally fogs.
I know they're a bit cliché and hairdressery, but I've always had a soft spot for the Celica and the MR2. Maybe when I reach my mid-life crisis...
And if you weren't going to stone me already, you will when I say this: Vauxhall Senator.

I think the original Chrysler Alpine (i.e. 1976-80) is quite a pretty car. I like the shape of the HC Viva and Mk2 Cortina, the expanse of chrome helps. The Mini just looks right, perhaps because it wasn't styled in any way. I think estate cars used to look better than saloons, partly because they look longer and partly because, again, styling wasn't a priority. As somebody said on the ugly thread, estate cars are starting to look like home conversions again (Up to the early 60s many estate cars were converted saloons and looked it).
lol. I considered listing the SAAB but I couldn't justify calling it pretty. Brutally handsome is about right though. I took the cylinder head off one yesterday. Brutally. Interesting fungus in No1 chamber (it hasn't been started for ages) and a cross-threaded plug but my mate's still going to use it. Oh, and the manifold was cracked, quite unusual for a SAAB Turbo.
Hi Ghostie, Small point, The Sweeney didn't use MKll Jags, Inspector Morse did tho. Sadly the Sweeney kept wrecking the much rarer and far superior "S" Type Jags.
With wire wheels fitted THAT was a very very pretty car. my favourite in fact. Not exactly a "family" car though. More in the class of the Armstrong Siddley Saphire, another lovely saloon..
Frogeye? pretty? hhmmm...
