It was hilarious but what a shame to kill what looked a reasonable CX

Aye, they killed it a bit quick didn't they..not like that Toyota Hi Lux I watched them TRY to destroy..it wouldn't die! It STILL started/drove in the end..so didn't they keep it and put it on display?I followed that one with great interest as I used to drive the exact same model/colour in my old landscaping days, built like granite they are!
...sorry to go off Citrotopic

Well, yeah, we know they are but the destruction of the CX aside, it was quite mirthful....

Maybe the BBC ought to have issued a disclaimer at the start of the programme...

"Citroenists of a delicate disposition are warned not to watch"

No doubt howls of rage on the Lotus and LR forums as well. I guess the Morris Marina owners were pleased it was not a marina that bit the dust this time.

Didn't I see something (maybe here even) about TG having permission to use cars for this sort of thing which have been ordered to be crushed?
Still a waste, but not quite so bad, in a way.

I'm rather sceptical about them shoving the CX over the cliff - I'm sure the Environmental Agency would have a very dim view of that coastal pollution.

I thought it was brilliant, i couldnt stop laughing.

Yes its a shame they ruined the CX, but really it was never going to be a car again so very little is lost there.

One of the best topgears in my opinion.
