outside temp display

why is my display about 9 degrees below the outside temp its a 2006 scenic

Dud thermistor. They are about £13 from the dealer.

Our 03 scenic was reading -2 the other day and the leon was saying that it was 24 degrees.
It was going to cost £45 from the stealers for the sensor, so I nipped to the local scrappy and got one for £1 and the scenics display now matches the leon when I have checked them at various temperatures.

£13 from dealer motorhog.com want £40 plus vat for a 2nd hand one
not from me they dont
