rear brakes

how do i change the rear pads on a scenic if the auto handbrake is on when the engine is turned off will they be clamped to the disc

there should be an emergency release handle in the boot, on grand scenic models its between the two folding seats in the third row

have had two different answers

1 needs to go to dealer and be pluged in and H/B electronicly re set

2 with engine off manually release H/B and do brakes no need to reset
