On buying SVO from Tesco
Moderator: RichardW
What we need is for those of us with Bosch pumps to form an alliance, perhaps those of us with storage facilities could help store the oil for a nominal charge (payment in SVO perhaps) whilst the rest of the Bosch group could organise themselves into Tesco raiding parties. Perhaps leaving sufficient oil on Tesco shelves for the Lucas pump alliance to use for cooking purposes.

To suggest we're collectively depriving the rest of the country of cooking oil is disingenious to say the least. Laughable in fact.
I just bought another 90L for £30 from a different branch and although I admit I did clear the shelf of 3L veg oil, I still left all the 3L bottles of sunflower oil, both kinds of 1L bottles, the drums of KTC and other non-discounted brands so my conscience is clear.
Before I filled my trolley I asked if there was a limit and was surprised to be categorically told no, they have done away with their bulk buying limit policy a fair time ago. I was also told that my online order should have already been reserved.
Both of those statements contradict what I was told on Saturday so I guess it's down to the discretion of the store though I still hold the view the manager at Bournemouth is a nasty piece of work.

Tell me about it Evil bloody stuff at this time of the year. Smells worse than gearbox oil and that's saying something...KP wrote:within about 20seconds of getting in the car at my house or work i pass a myriad of fields full of rapeseed
And don't get me started on what it does for those subject to hay fever...
Great idea to have a bulk pump for the stuff in your local TesAsBerys
