Hello,
Ive been told I need a new Gearbox Cable on my 94 Xantia.
Main Dealer its coming in at an astonishing £250!!!
The cars worth less than that, although its still a great motor....can anyone offer any advice in getting a new cable but not paying this ridiculous price?
Im not in the position to spend hours at scrap yards Im afraid but if there are any websites or breakers here Id appreciate the help......
Many Thanks!
Rich

Gosh
£250. I did hear that're both expensive and hard to get hold of...
I guess it's become stiff.
Maybe look to have a pattern made up by the people like Speedy Cables. They may well be be able to help and at a lot cheaper cost...

Being a '94 Xantia, it will be the same setup as the XM autos, and these also become a problem with Siezing up - Ive had to change 3 now!
The massive price is probably because you have to buy the Gearlever and control box under it with cable attached ALL as one item!
