Survey: What do you think about your satnav?
What do you think about your satnav?
Would you like to take part in new research by the University of Nottingham and help a UK registered charity?
We are looking for volunteers to complete a short online survey about how they use their satnav.
The survey should only take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. Our only requirements are that you are a driver, over 18 years old, and have used a satnav before.
As a token of our appreciation we will donate £1 (GBP) to a UK registered charity selected by you for each completed survey.
Please follow the link below to take part. Full details and instructions are included.

After completing the survey, please ask your friends and family to take part too!
Thank you.

No mention of speed camera warnings on there, that is a big reason why i use the satnav!

I swipe my daughter's TomTom when needed.
Although I find it very difficult to see I can just about hear it, enough the get me where I need to go.
I have great difficulty in remembering directions so without the satnav would have to stop every couple of miles to read my directions. Satnav certainly makes the journey less frought although I have caught it giving me the taxi runaround a couple of times.

Mine's set to speak French in a breathy female voice, but through a quirk of translation it reads our abbreviation of street (St) as Saint.
En trois cents mètres cinquante, tourner à droit sur Smith-Saint
Similarly it fails to recognise other contractions, pronouncing Cr as "C-R" rather than saying crescent.
