cambelt question?

hi everybody
im tackling my first cambelt change today ,so far ok the belt is off ,but comparing the old (powertrain)to the new(gsf dayco)the old teeth are round and the new is almost flat top with a groove. does this wear away or have i been sold the wrong belt.
any help much appreciated

Fear not, belts don't get any better than Dayco, and yes they have a groove along the teeth and no it doesn't wear away, slap it on and forget about it for 50k miles.
