priming pump

hi anyone had a hand priming pump on a c5 go wrong ?lumpy running air in system ?

I wasn't aware that C5s were fitted with a hand primer.
It was my impression that all HDi's had an in-tank lift pump.

nope got a hand primer no lift pump on hdi90

Some of the HDI's do have a priming pump, certainly I've seen the odd 307 and 406 with them, although I could not say which had and which did not. Did not seem that common a fitment though.

Having said that, it more or less the same pump as the XUD, so it will be possible for it to take air in (as they sometimes do)

The 90bhp bosch systems have an electric pump in the tank but the 90bhp siemens system doesent have an electric pump in the tank so it does have a hand primer.
