Door Mirrors problem on Citroen C5
Hi all, I am from Singapore, on the 8th April I just got my new Citroen C5 Confort 2009 2.0 petrol engine.
I read the manual saying that the memory function will remember my driver seat, aircon and also the door mirrors settings, I had set it into memory 1 and meddle the seat, aircon and door mirrors position to test it.
It did remember my seat and aircon settings but not my door miirros settings like what it mentioned in the user manual, another thing is when I engaged reverse gear, the door mirror which I selected does not tilt down as what it mentioned in the user manual too, tried to program it but still unable to.
I had send back to Citroen official dealer in Singapore and they are unable to resolve this issue, the only thing they can do is to sent the technical details back to France for checking.
Wonder any bros here encounter similar problems can guide me on it.
Thank you all and have a nice day ^_^

Damned if I can remember what the acronym stands for but it is the body control ECU.
Here's a reset sequence from a repairer, BBA Reman
But your dealer should be sorting this problem out for you under warranty, just give them a hard time until it is fixed.
Mine hasn't this option so couldn't say with any certainty but it is worth looking through the settings on the car's computer to see if your mirror memory can be enabled from there, otherwise as wheeler indicates, the dealer may have to do it using their diagnostic computer. They should know this if they are any good at all.

There is what I consider an oddity with the "dipping mirror" at least on the MK1 the mirror selector switch has to remain selected to the passenger side after mirror adjustment for the auto dipping function to work. This is a pain because the switch needs to be in the centre to fold the mirrors.

That's why my mirror didn't ever dip!! I thought it had just forgotten how to do it (it is french after all), but now I feel thick and the car isn't even mine anymorecachaciero wrote:There is what I consider an oddity with the "dipping mirror" at least on the MK1 the mirror selector switch has to remain selected to the passenger side after mirror adjustment for the auto dipping function to work. Why didn't my C5 have memory functions? It was the 3.0i V6 Exclusive SE (absolute top of the range)??
French is best.

I'm fairly sure that on mine the door mirrors both fold flat when I press the key 'plip'.cachaciero wrote:There is what I consider an oddity with the "dipping mirror" at least on the MK1 the mirror selector switch has to remain selected to the passenger side after mirror adjustment for the auto dipping function to work. Or do you mean when you're inside the car in order to use the switch on the door panel?

Yes they do if they are selected to do so.Paul-R wrote:I'm fairly sure that on mine the door mirrors both fold flat when I press the key 'plip'.cachaciero wrote:There is what I consider an oddity with the "dipping mirror" at least on the MK1 the mirror selector switch has to remain selected to the passenger side after mirror adjustment for the auto dipping function to work. But there are times when it is convenient to fold them before opening the door to get out.

Re: Door Mirrors problem on Citroen C5
you probably got an English spec manual.
The seat memory on your car will do the seat positions and the aircon - nothing else. I'm afraid you will just have to live with it.
Wish I had better news for you.
