Xsara bootlight switch

Does anyone know exactly where the switch for the bootlight is on a hatchback version, I believe it is behind the panel on the lid but I can't find it so far , what does it look like ?, I thought it would be easy to locate but it has me baffled so far.

If it's a phase 2 model the swich is an internal part of the boot latch.

My car is one of the earlier ones, i.e. 1998, I wonder if the switch is the same ?, at least it gives me an idea what to look for, thanks.
