I've ordered a set of Kleber Dynaxers for my 2000 Hdi90. At this moment the car is on the original Michelins and they still have, I reckon, 10000 miles in the tread, but the sidewalls are very badly crazed and there are a one or two nicks as well. At 9.5 years they've seen a lot of sunlight and frosts and a long time standing still!
There's a guy here who fits/balances at your home with mobile gear and that will save some of the exhorbitant charges that French fitting centres usually levy. i.e. about €20 a tyre! Actual tyre prices here are a tad cheaper than UK.
New Kleber Dynaxer tyres to go on to Xantia

Have now done about 100 miles on the new Klebers. They are very good on the Xantia - I would say slightly softer (still 88), quieter than the old Michelins.
Particularly impressive are the twin 'rain channels' that are clearly going to help on very wet roads.
Very pleased, I recommend them. No commercial connections, of course!

I've used Kleber Dynaxters on the Xantia for about the last 6 years. No problems with grip at all. They're quiet as well. The fronts seem to last about 2 years (18000 miles.) The rears don't seem to wear at all. (Non of my Citroens have been hard on rear tyres.)

Depends on how much fun you want to have behind the wheelGammy leg wrote:If I only got 18000 miles out of a pair of 'new' tyres, I would be most annoyed. I would expect at least double that, if not more. Are Xantia's particularly harsh on fronts???MJM wrote: The fronts seem to last about 2 years (18000 miles.)

I don't hang about.
The shoulders seem to go on the front but the tyres wear evenly across the tread. (Pressures are fine). For a pretty heavy car on relatively narrow (185) tyres I'm not disappointed with 18k. I have a friend who is a very cautious driver and he used to only manage 14k on a Fiesta.

Ive no idea how people get any more than 20K miles out of front tyres, on any car. Id be very happy with that. My fronts usually do around 15K miles.
What model of Kleber Dynaxer have you got rmunns? There is supposed to be a new one coming out based on the old michelin energy, just wondered if you had that?
I find quite a few makes beat Michelins now, but it depends what michelin tyre it is.
Citroen rear tyres seem to last an age. C5s seem a little heavier on rears but Citroens tend to be easy on rear tyres i find. Our Xm still had its original rears until 74K miles.
