Who's seen the new DS3?

I quite like this, it's brave. It's like an in-your-face Mini.

What are your opinions?

Hideous

Sorry but that front gape does it no favours in the looks department. It looks like a morose guppy...

It may be good otherwise but the looks are atrocious and puts me right off...

I'm sure it'll be a rockin' success for PSA and that's fantastic.

After all, it does a good job of out-uglying it's competitors and that seems to be the target to aim for these days.

Whatever happened to style?

There is a chance that you can make yourself the ultimate mini AMG stealth
fighter or the car that would best be used entombed in the concrete of bridge
foundations depending on just how mad you go with the options list!

So Citroen has got it's Mojo back. Thank God for that!

Jim, as far as car styling these days go - everyone is on a rollercoaster of
the last big idea and there's little left that is nice that hasn't been done before.
By that I mean for example, Audi TT hipped out exaggerated wheelarches
- next thing we know even a Citroen C2 has them etc and now it's the turn of
a gaping mouth, ugly fronts and running LED lights. Notice something here
- yep, lock the doors and throw away the keys of the Audi Styling department!

I'd like the think Citroen still plied it's own track with styling but fear they're
trying to be another Audi. Just think back to the 70's when I'd consider the
two firms were equal and now Audi is aiming for world domination and the
brand that world aspires to, out Mercedesing BMW!

That's the word for all new Peugeots, and a lot of the new Citroens but for some reason, I do like this car. Of course, I would never get one, I don't live in a mid summer Parisian back street, I think that's the kind of place this car looks good, not parked outside my house. Besides, I'm not stylish enough

As much as I like the new DS3 i'm affraid it's only a pipe dream

If I could afford to buy one in the first place I'd never fit the two kids, the dog and the wife in all at the same time not to mention the wife's handbag

I am rather disapointed as I was expecting the Bose magnetic setup to make an appearance, Im holding my hopes for the DS4 and DS5.

Comes to something when talking to a parts/service guy at the local Citroen Dealership who sums it up whilst pointing to the one in the showroom that its basically a Citroen version of the BMW Mini.

I can't really form a proper opinion as I much prefer cleaner straightish looks on a car without too many blobs.

The problem these days with styling is that it all has to comply with ever increasingly stringent pedestrian impact regulations.

It's madness. While its nice to know its there and should reduce casualties in the event of an imapct, you shouldn't be stupid enough to walk out in front of over a ton of metal. The world is dumbing down, what the powers that be fail to realise, is that there will always be risk involved with life and that no matter what they do they cannot eliminate it and that in their efforts to, they make life miserable for the minority of us who have a bit of common sense

On another note, pop up bonnets...I've seen one pop up on a Nissan GT-R in traffic shunt at negliable speeds and he was quoted £11k to replace the system!

Guys, got to say that I think there is a hint of the GT front end about it, and that makes me wonder, just what the "boy racers" will think about it

I actually quite like the look of it, I suppose you call it Radical

I think thats going to sell well, no doubt appeals to the boy racers. I had a sit in one in november at the MPH show, it was nice and seemed very well built. Looked better in the metal than in those pictures, though ill have to make my mind up when i start seeing them on the road.

Im looking forward to seeing what the DS5 is going to be like ...
