s2 exclusive seats in an s2 activa?

Unread post by Dommo »

Hi folks

I'm considering a set of full electric/heated seats from an s2 exclusive hdi to fit in my s2 activa.

There is a fairly big yellow connector under my passenger seat (which is not electric (I think) but I'm not certain), and a lone yellow connector under the little cubby hole infront of the gear stick. Am I right in assuming the wiring for the heated seats isn't there, but the electric passenger seat wiring is there (the yellow connector)?

Thanks.

The connections in yellow are the airbags which will be on
the sides of the front seats as well as the normal dash ones
on the later s2 cars.

Feeling flush for those one's on eBay at the mo!? :?

FYI, sets usually sell on eBay anywhere from 50 - 100 (tops).
I've bought a set for 60 in the past and seen citroenly sell a set
of cream leather for 80 in open bidding. That said, I've also bought
a whole Exclusive on eBay for 110!

I'd say 150 is ambitous even if they're mint.

Do your present seats have side airbags? If so check that the leather ones also have airbags otherwise you'll end up with the dash bulb illuminated and can only be "turned off" by removing the bulb. Early S2 seats didn't have side airbags built into them.

Sorry chaps forgot about this thread!

If £80 is about what I should pay I'm glad I didn't buy the set off eBay for 150, cheers!

My seats do have side airbags in them, and there is still a big yellow connector with nothing plugged into it on the passenger seat, if that helps??

The other connector you refer to, is likely for electric motors in the seats.

Heating I believe uses a differed dash/console harness on the Xantia II - rather than a plug-in extension. Shouldn't be too hard to splice in, though.

Personally, I'd like cooled seats!
