Door trims

The centre door trim on Xantia. The full plastic trim containing the chrome strip. Is it a pop on fit or does it slide on or summat? I don`t want to force it in the cold lest it break with brittleness. I have spotted an Exclusive painted one in scrappy.

Poppers, just the same as the inner door cards, and quite a tight fit, BUT the door trim that holds the clips CAN break at each end! Not the clips the panel itself, so BE CAREFULL removing it..

Better to push out from the inside Paul or lever from outside with a couple of slim blades?

Gently with slim blades, I have a small pry bar bought as part of a cheapo pack of screwdrivers from Tescos (loads of torx included too) that I found perfect for the job.
Otherwise, door card off, then an 8mm ring spanner on the clip's legs on the inside to compress them and push out.

Practice on a strip you don't want.

I've used baling twine and large cable ties in the past to evenly pull off the strips. In fact you've just reminded me of something

I filmed myself replacing the plastic strips on the bumpers with the shiny aluminium ones from the CCC back last summer...should probably edit that and stick it up on the FCF You Tube channel!

Thanks guys. Two thin paint scrapers and work round it...no breaks and only £2 for a nice painted trim with chrome strip as well
