Peugeot 306 Rear subframe mounts

Unread post by dandanfireman »

Hi there everyone, I know this has been mentioned many times on this forum but i've tried searching until i swear profusely and want to punch the laptop but still can't find anything on here about it unless i look on google and even then its an old thread with no decent info.

Please if anyone has any pics of a 306 rear subframe removal or similar as i know some of the citroens are the same it would be much appreciated. Any info would be greatly received aswell.

Indeed it will Dei,

You beat me to it :D

Only other pint is that the back box may well have to be removed from the exhaust system. Certainly the case when I have done this job on 205s and they are very similar...

It's a very straightforward job.

I did one on a ZX, if this is the same, the bolts through the front mountings hold everything together, so don't try taking any short cuts like I did

My thread about it is here:

Unfortunatley, geocities has closed, so the pics are no longer hosted, but if PM me your e-mail address I will send them on. Will get around to sticking them up somewhere else somewhen.

The drink comes when you've successfully dismantled the rear beam and found it is salvagable :D

Maybe a drink too if the rear beam is beyond help :(
