Afaik there are no fluro silicones in a tube. I think they are manufacturer extruded into shape?

Little update. I did get around to opening the tube of sealant I have, it does have the vinegar smell to it.

I dolloped some onto a surface, let it set slightly, then put it in a bottle cap with LHM in. Just went to have a look and the silicone looks in the same shape as before but the LHM does smell of vinegar, a bad sign?

Thanks.

If you had let silicone cure before exposing to LMM the smell may not have been there and the silicone is then more stable. 48hrs depending on temp and thickness of bead.

Even two part Polysulphide takes 7 days to fully cure .

In that case am I best sealing it up then leaving it for a few days before I turn the car on? There shouldn't be much if any LHM in the ram at the moment, as I've had the Activa sphere block/electrovalve out.

Cheers.
