its STILL £3000 and a bit but if you could haggle them down to maybe £2k and the engine was solid and had a cambelt and coolant flush at the required intervals it might be worth a punt...

Too late for this one...

A better price, but green, with an LHM leak at the rear.

It would probably have cost £1000 to transport it back to the UK, and German registration rules make driving it home a bit of an excercise.
A non-resident must buy temporary export registration(requires a special insurance), but to get that you need to get the physically to the registration office which requires temporary German registration (requiring a separate special insurance) that only a resident can apply for, or get the car trailered to the registration centre.... all assuming it has TUV and is still roadworthy...

Or is it just the picture doing funny things to Mauritius Blue?

Good to see they're valuable though, these V6 Activas.

Jim, hard to believe I know, but it DOES look like the picture shows what
happens when a thing called 'bright sunshine' is cast over a Mauritius Blue
Xantia!! Not something we ever see in damp grey drizzly GB.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for pointing those out.

I think I'd rather go down the route of converting one with a knackered engine then import one at the moment. Insurance on imported cars is usually higher then it is on modified cars apparently.

The LPG'd one I wouldn't go near after the experiences I've had on the last 2 LPG cars I've owned. Both kits were the sequential type and both were awful.

I'm sure I'll do something about one sooner or later.
