Third time round on ebay for this one.
Seems he has been plagued by timewasters who do not show.
Price now a long way short of owners original hopes.
Mileage a touch high but balanced out by good history/repair records.

If it was an estate would have a bid. What`s wrong with 2.5 Peter ? Is the power not better suited to such a lump of a car. Spares maybe?

There is nothing wrong with a 2.5 in fact its a very nice car to drive - until it goes wrong. Its more difficult to work on and the spares are getting very scarce and expensive. If I had as many as John has I might think differently.

Want!

Haha that thing is probably going to fly out, what are people's bets it'll sell for?

There was a reserve previously that the car never made.
The adv says two previous offers of £800 were made but neither buyer actually turned up.
I will be surprised if the bidding reaches £700 this time.
Sign of the times, not a good time to be selling.
Still if you fancy a Mk2 XM it is worth a bid as no reserve this time.

That last posting (John's) reminded me of an unanswered question I have about ebay.
What is the difference between a 'Reserve Price' and a 'Starting Price'? All I know is that you don't pay for a starting price but you do for a reserve price.

The starting price is obvious for all to see and so may put some people off bidding, the reserve price is unknown until you reach it. The seller hopes to intimidate you into bidding higher - but it usually doesn't work, it doesn't with me anyway :D

Not sure there is a reserve on this...
Usually on ebay it'll say current price and "reserve not met" underneath it.
