I RECKON, and thats NOT becuase Ive got one, that the FIRST and LAST Xantias seem to be the best.

My 1993 anti sinker, chevrons on bonnet, NO Air bag, just keeps passing and passing MOT's, next one due Dec/Jan, 216k, but under neath and rear pipe work ALL seems to be in excellent order!!

Mine cost me ? NOTHING! I allowed £200 quid on a Part ex.. with 11 months MOT, new disks and pads, new spheres ALL round!

Yup,

Got a few bits and pieces for Xantias, Currently in, a 1997 P reg Series 1, minus its Air Con, engine and interior and ABS sesnors..

ALSO a 1995 M reg Xantia - COMPLETE! and running.. rear arms a little tired, head gasket needs a change, and a mysterious water loss, either matrix or a pipe some where.. also a shead with various bits N pieces..

Well done Les, great to hear she passed :D Good old sinkers, they're still the best!

I still have a few of the rare and getting hard to get parts for sinkers...

I can't help thinking that sinkers are better because this exercises the rear suspension and keeps it supple. I could be wrong though...

Thats easily fixable then!

Put a faulty anti sink valve inplace of the working one! :D

I had a 1995 M reg Xantia VSX, which I posted about on here, must have been abut 2 years ago, that, when the engine was stopped, the rear end would drop as fast as you could say blimey moses !! It always came back up though..

HOWEVER! This is the strange part, I changed: anti sink valve, electroi valve on the rear, regulator, pump and doser valve... never changed a thing...

The anti sink valve came off a car that DID NOT sink either..
